Kevin Durant is back. Playing in front of the Brooklyn crowd for the first time as a member of the Nets since, well, forever. Also back is Zion Williamson, who returned from injury on Tuesday night to put up a cool 34 points. He so fun to watch. Not back, though, is James Harden - he remains out with a hamstring injury. Back again, though, is the Nets playing on ESPN and, ugh, YES 2. Also back again, again, is the return of NetsDaily live post-game Clubhouse chat Chris Chiozza Face Mask. I'm discussing ets host Pelicans Post Game with MattBrooksNBA, TomLorenzo, CMilholenSB, Kabanja, APOOCH, NetsDaily, Alec_Sturm, Bobby Edemeka, and NetsDaily. Today, Apr 7 at 10:15 PM EDT on joinclubhouse https://www.brooklynfanstoreonline.com/James_Harden_Pet_Jersey-100. Join us! 7 post-season despite the death of his sister in a car accident. From that point on, the legend of IT slowly fell apart due to injuries. He was traded to the Cavaliers in the Kyrie Irving deal and his physical exam showed unresolved issues related to a previous hip injuries. There was also issues with a loss of cartilage and some arthritis and he bounced around, going from Cleveland to the Lakers to Washington to Denver. Nothing worked. He looked done. With so many injuries, the Pelicans took a chance on him this week, signing him to a 10-day deal. He had been trying to convince teams that off-season surgery had made him whole again, diminished the pain that had in turn diminished his abilities. Nikola Vucevic was named an All-Star. That the only thing worth remembering about the Orlando Magic on February 23, 2021. The Magic followed up Vooch All-Star announcement with what was perhaps their absolute worst performance of the season as they showed very little signs of life on the offensive end against the Eastern Conference worst team Jason Williams Face Mask, falling to the Pistons, 105-93. The Magic had no rhythm offensively in the first half, committing nine turnovers that the Pistons converted into 14 points. The Magic shot just 40. 5% from the field in the half, with their efficiency from the outside helping to keep them in the game as they converted on 9 of 18 attempts. Terrence Ross led the way with 10 first-half points as the Magic got 27 bench points in the half https://www.storeorlando.com/Anfernee_Hardaway_T_shirt-20, helping to cut what was a 15-point Pistons lead in the first quarter to just 53-51 at the half. The Pistons, who also commit nine turnovers, shot 47. 8% in the half. Two-way player Saben Lee came off the bench to score 13 first-half points, connecting on 5 of 6 shot attempts. It was a dismal third quarter for the Magic as the Pistons rebuilt a double-digit lead https://www.storeorlando.com/Cj_Wilcox_Flag-66. Ball movement was non-existent and the threes stopped dropping for the Magic in the third as they went 0-for-10 from deep in the quarter as they shot 25 percent in the third. The only member of the Magic to score over the final 8:30 of the third other than Vucevic (who had 8 points in that stretch) was Dwayne Bacon, who hit this Tracy McGrady-like reverse layup with 39 seconds left in the quarter. . . . This very well may be the only Magic highlight from this game and it a damn good one. . . 1The Magic continued to miss open shots and fell behind by as many as 20 in the fourth quarter of what was a game to forget. Steve Clifford, perhaps as a form of punishment, left his All-Star and the first-unit in until the final buzzer (with Mo Bamba getting a DNP even in an ugly lopsided game) https://www.storeorlando.com/Ignas_Brazdeikis_Hoodie-50. Vucevic wasn in All-Star form as he finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds while shooting 9-for-22 from the field. Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross, who had been thriving offensively along with Vooch in the last two games, also struggled with their shots. Fournier had 14 points on 4-for-14 shooting and Ross finished with 13 on 4-for-12 shooting as the Magic shot just 37. 5% overall and allowed 20 points off 12 turnovers. Lee finished with a game-high 21 points for the Pistons, who shot 46. 6% from the field and outscored the Magic 56-36 in the paint. The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for the Magic, who now head to Brooklyn to take on the Nets on Thursday.

It a long season. With the Phillies playing 162 games this season Zack Wheeler Flag, there isn nearly the urgency that there was last year with the 60 game sprint. Wee only 12 games in, so with 150 left, there really is no need to panic https://www.philadelphiagearstore.com/Darren_Daulton_Hoodie-89. However, there is a certain sense of doom when it comes to the offense. John Stolnis wrote about how the offense is the reason for this mii-slide of the team and after watching that performance last night, it hard to disagree with him. No one really looks like they are seeing the ball well, nor do they look like they have good timing.Of course, we could attribute this to having played the Braves and Mets in back to back series twice already. The teams know each other and the weaknesses, so they could have altered gameplans against the Phillies rather quickly. Can chalk all the struggles up to that, but it could be an explanation. On to the linksPhillies news:Matt Gelb take on the Adam Haseley absence is well worth your time since it perhaps sheds a bit of light as to the reasoning. The strikeouts are really becoming an issue with this team.MLB news:Yadier Molina became the first catcher to catch 2,000 games with only one team. Whatever you think about Molina, this is certainly quite the accomplishment. It power rankings time and boy will this list look different in a few days. The Atlantic League is going to experiment with moving the mound back (along with other rules) in an audition for MLB Richie Allen Pet Jersey. The Astros just put a third of their starting offense on the IL.Carlos Rodon threw a no-hitter for the White Sox after hitting a batter with a slider in the ninth inning to lose his perfect game bid.

It was a tale of two series for the Mets this week, who played a whopping eight games over the course of seven days, due to Saturday doubleheader in Washington DC. The first series of the week came against the red-hot Cubs and the Mets entered the week having taken two out of three from a powerhouse Padres team. They kept the good vibes going at Citi Field, taking three out of four from the Cubs. But, they were shut out in the final game of that series and with the exception of Francisco Lindor big day on Saturday afternoon, the offense stayed dormant as they hit the road, resulting in the Mets dropping three out of four to the struggling Nationals at Nats Park https://www.newprostoreonline.com/Seth_Lugo_Pillow_Cover-355. Wel start with Francisco Lindor big game on Saturday afternoon, in which he went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs. It was easily his best offensive performance in a single game in a Mets uniform and it carried him to a 117 wRC+ overall for the week over 31 plate appearances. He had just one RBI the rest of the week, but he did walk four times in addition to collecting six hits. He also stole a base. His 0. 2 fWAR for the week is second among Mets hitters. The leader in that category is Dominic Smith, who accrued 0. 3 fWAR this week, bouncing back in a big way from his poop emoji performance last week. Smith also leads the team in wRC+ , Brandon Drury days may have been numbered upon the return of Jeff McNeil. However, it seems Drury will live to fight another day , it was one of the few highlights of a pretty bad week for the Polar Bear. That home run was one of just four hits in 30 plate appearances for the week for Alonso and the only extra base hit and only run scored Patrick Mazeika Pillow Cover. He walked three times and drove in four runs, but posted an unsightly 35 wRC+ for the week. His big highlight defensively also came in a game the Mets lost https://www.newprostoreonline.com/Jose_Martinez_T_shirt-58, making a sparkling play behind Marcus Stroman in Thursday game.

Today, I will not be cheerily greeting you. I shocked and incensed at the downright offensive play of our hometown nine over the past two weeks, and I can not declare this a happy Friday unless the Twins win tonight. Don get me wrong: I may be in the minority, but I do think the Twins will be okay. 90% of the season remains. Byron Buxton is the league MVP currently https://www.minnesotagearshop.com/Miguel_Sano_Pet_Jersey-316. Jose Berrios has been at his best all year. Nelson Cruz remains an ageless cyborg sent to earth to crush baseballs. Jorge Polanco is showing signs of life at the plate. However: I am shocked and incensed at the downright offensive play of our hometown nine https://www.minnesotagearshop.com/Hansel_Robles_Pillow_Cover-217. There is no other words (besides comedic, maybe) to describe the bush league defensive display from the Twins in the 10th inning on Wednesday. After two weeks of poor hitting, poor health, and poor relieving, perhaps wee finally reached rock bottom. Perhaps not. In any case, I would imagine there are some strong feelings floating around in our readership. This is the play for you. Game threads are not a nice place when people are angry and negative. So rather than having that emotional vomit spill out all over the game threads this weekend, let it all out here. I want to read your rants, your (properly censored!) expletives, your lamentations, and your screams. For this to work properly, however, I need you to abide by a few rules:Keep in mind the Community Guidelines, or you will be sent to the TJ officeRant about the Twins, NOT at fellow commentersDo not take this as encouragement to post negative and angry comments on other posts of the siteAlright Byung-Ho Park Flag, let hear it! And as always, a (begrudging) o Twins!

Prior to yesterday game the Brewers made another series of roster moves. They made a total of six transactions, adding three players to the team while taking three off the active roster https://www.milwaukeefanstoreonline.com/Josh_Lindblom_Pillow_Cover-241. Just a few moves by Brewers today: LHP Brett Anderson on 10-day IL, RHP Miguel Sanchez selected from Nashville, LHP Hoby Milner optioned to Nashville, OF Tyrone Taylor activated from 10-day IL, OF Derek Fisher DFA'd, RHP Ryan Weber recalled from Nashville. The catalyst to these moves was the injury to Brett Anderson, who left Monday game with a knee injury. As expected, he was placed on the 10-day IL yesterday, taking him out for at least one start. The full severity of the injury is still unknown, but the Brewers will get more information on Thursday when Anderson will see team doctor Raasch in Milwaukee https://www.milwaukeefanstoreonline.com/Rob_Deer_Face_Mask-310. To replace Brett Anderson, the Brewers decided to bring up two pitchers. They selected the contract of RHP Miguel Sanchez, and also recalled RHP Ryan Weber from Nashville. These two pitchers will be the 49th and 50th players on the Brewers roster this season, second most in the majors (Seattle has used 51 players). Sanchez pitched yesterday and made his MLB debut, walking one batter in a scoreless inning. In Nashville this season, he has posted a 3. 22 ERA over 22. 1 innings, with 22 strikeouts and 9 walks. Meanwhile, Weber was claimed off waivers from the Red Sox on June 16. His pitched for Boston earlier this season and got roughed up, allowing 11 runs in just 5. 2 innings of work. Over his career in the majors, he has a 5. 30 ERA spanning seven seasons. The Brewers also had to clear a 40-man roster spot for Sanchez, so they did that by designating Derek Fisher for assignment. Fisher appeared in just four games since his return from injury, making one start. He went 2-for-8 in those four games. The Brewers will now try to get him through waivers to see if they can keep him in the organization. At the same time, they brought back another outfielder, activating Tyrone Taylor from the 10-day IL Paul Molitor Pet Jersey. Taylor went on the IL on June 12 with a right shoulder strain, so he is back after missing the minimum 10 days for an IL stint. So far this season, Taylor is hitting . 216/. 310/. 344 in 38 games, with 6 home runs and 15 RBI. That also required another roster move, so Hoby Milner was optioned back to Triple-A Nashville. Milner appeared in eight games since being recalled, and he allowed eight runs (six earned) in 8. 2 innings pitched since his return. The strikeout to walk ratio was nice (11 K to 1 BB), but the results weren there. Hel head back to Nashville for now to get more work. Finally, one more roster move was finalized yesterday. Jake Hager, who was designated for assignment on Friday https://www.milwaukeefanstoreonline.com/Dylan_File_Face_Mask-198, was claimed off of waivers by Seattle. Hager had been playing in Nashville and went 15-for-71 in 18 games for the Sounds. Unfortunately, the roster moves are not done yet. Following Daniel Vogelbach hamstring injury yesterday, another roster move will be coming today. Statistics courtesy of Baseball-Reference.
