It was a tale of two series for the Mets this week, who played a whopping eight games over the course of seven days, due to Saturday doubleheader in Washington DC. The first series of the week came against the red-hot Cubs and the Mets entered the week having taken two out of three from a powerhouse Padres team. They kept the good vibes going at Citi Field, taking three out of four from the Cubs. Prior to yesterday game the Brewers made another series of roster moves. The catalyst to these moves was the injury to Brett Anderson, who left Monday game with a knee injury. As expected, he was placed on the 10-day IL yesterday, taking him out for at least one start. The Brewers will now try to get him through waivers to see if they can keep him in the organization. At the same time, they brought back another outfielder, activating Tyrone Taylor from the 10-day IL Paul Molitor Pet Jersey. Taylor went on the IL on June 12 with a right shoulder strain, so he is back after missing the minimum 10 days for an IL stint. So far this season, Taylor is hitting . 216/. 310/. 344 in 38 games, with 6 home runs and 15 RBI. That also required another roster move, so Hoby Milner was optioned back to Triple-A Nashville.
