Say "I Do" To Your Wedding Hues: The Ultimate Guide To Choosing Wedding Colors

    in General Discussions

Choosing the colors for your wedding is among the first decisions your family will enjoy as a newly engaged bride-to-be. While you might think this task is an easy one, you'll soon understand that there is more to picking the wedding colors than you may think — much more.

It's not just about picking two colors that you simply think would look fabulous for that season. You also have to be aware of which colors go together and just how they will set the mood for the wedding.

If you are a thoughtful bride, you will also need to consider how the wedding colors will appear at your wedding party and your groom's too.

One of the most popular color mistakes brides make is selecting a color palette that does not fit the vibe of the wedding venue. If your venue is an industrial warehouse space filled with Edison lightbulbs and rustic brick walls, it's probably not likely to look of the same quality with super flashy colors for example bright orange or hot pink bridesmaid dresses.

For venues that are somewhat of a blank slate, the planet is your oyster. You can listen to it up with bold color combos for example, purple and gold or boosts the romance with rose gold and navy décor.

If you have not chosen a marriage venue yet, do this before making your final decision on the wedding colors. That way, you will not have your heart set on the color palette that clashes together with your venue.

One of the more obvious places to highlight the wedding colors is thru your bridesmaid gowns. While many brides decide to dress almost all their plus size bridesmaid dresses in one color in the wedding color palette, this is no longer a tough rule.

Modern brides are mixing up by will having each bridesmaid wear another color from her wedding color scheme. In the image below, the bride to be played off her color scheme of deep purple and lavender with a few complimentary cool colors:

One thing that few brides realize until it's passed too far is that their wedding colors will probably become their brand as a couple. Trust us whenever we say that everyone provides you with gifts in the wedding colors for a long time.

In short, the wedding color choice could likely affect you long after the wedding day. Think carefully before you decide to pick a marriage color palette and sleep in your choice for several nights to ensure you're as with love by using it as you are together with your spouse-to-be.
